Buyer FAQ

Why must I sign up to contact a seller?
Our site transactions are based on a system that allows our users to give feedback after a transaction. You must have an account that uniquely identifies you and that you've used to make a seller an offer in order to post feedback.

What do I do once I've found a compatible seller?
Once you've located a seller you wish to advertise with, simply click on the Contact this seller link in their profile. You will be presented with a form that will allow you to email the seller with your offer. The email will contain your own email address and username for them to reply to. From there you can work out the details of your agreement and a method of payment.

Does SigTrader guarantee sales and protect you against fraud?
No. Even large member commerce based sites such as eBay do not "guarantee" you will have a smooth transaction. We do however allow you to post permanent positive or negative feedback. You can avoid bad transactions by following these simple rules when dealing with sellers.

- Check the seller's feedback: Simply checking to see if other members have had problems with the seller can be a great way to avoid problem sellers.

- Use Paypal and pay with your credit card: PayPal has built in fraud protection methods and most credit card companies will gladly execute a chargeback if you report fraud.


Selling?

Simply sign up for an account and your profile will be created automatically. Once you've activated your account, your profile will be visible to our members.

You can sell 1 line ads in your signature space and charge whatever you feel the space is worth. You can work out the details in your description paragraph or through contact with the buyer. You may also consider charging seperate prices for different sites and charging extra for bold, colors, font size, etc. We STRONGLY recommend that you only sell one line ads as most major boards limit you to 4 or less lines in your signature block. Be sure to work out details like ad format before you accept payment from buyers. Your feedback rating may suffer if you don't.
